The Milan team made a strong start in the Italian league competitions for the new season 2021-2022, as it achieved two victories in the first two rounds of the local competition.

Milan started its Italian league campaign by defeating Sampdoria with a clean goal, and then beating Cagliari 4-0.

And the official website of Milan published a number of special numbers after the victory of the Rossoneri in the first two matches of the Italian league this season, as follows:

1- Milan won the first two consecutive matches of the Italian League, for the first time since the 2002-2003 season, 2003-2004, under the leadership of Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti.

2- Milan scored four goals in the first half of the Italian Serie A, against Cagliari, for the first time since November 2011, against Chievo.

3- Frenchman Olivier Giroud is the first player to score a brace in his first match for Milan in Serie A against Cagliari, since Mario Balotelli in February 2013.

4- Giroud, the 15th different French scorer in the history of Milan in the Italian Serie A.

5- AC Milan is the team with the largest number of players of French nationality in the history of the Italian League.

6- Giroud scored his first league brace since April 2018, with Chelsea against Southampton in the Premier League.

7- French Giroud scored his eighth penalty in the top 5 European competitions against Cagliari, the first since December 2015, when he wore the Arsenal shirt.

8- Sandro Tonali scored his second goal in Serie A, both of which came from a direct free kick (after the October 2019 goal against Genoa).
