A French club is competing to sign Coutinho

A French club is interested to sign Coutinho, the Brazilian Midfielder of Barcelona.

Mundo Deportivo talked about Olympique Marseille’s interest in signing the player during the current summer transfer window.

According to the newspaper, the coach of the French team, Jorge Sampaoli, believes that Coutinho is suitable for his plan for the new season.

Barcelona strongly wants to get rid of the player who came with a huge amount of money and failed to achieve the ambitions of the team and the fans.

The club is looking for a suitable offer to sell the player. The goal is to make up for something of the amount he paid to bring him, in addition to getting rid of his high salary.

There is also a desire by Marseille to satisfy its coach and implement his requests. He wants to create a strong team capable of competing for the French League and European League titles.

Coutinho’s contract is still valid until June 2023. It might be a complicated deal for a club like Marseille due to the Brazilian’s high salary.

However, Sampaoli’s insistence to sign Coutinho might be a solution to reach an agreement with Barcelona.

In fact, there is interest from Premier League clubs in Coutinho, such as Everton, Tottenham, and Chelsea. However, they did not make any official offer to sign the player from Barcelona.

Several press reports revealed that Coutinho moved to Barcelona in a deal that amounted to 160 million euros. They were distributed between 120 million as transfer fees and 40 million as a maximum of bonuses and incentives.
