The Confederation of African Football (CAF) commented on Al-Ahly’s crowning the African Super Cup at the expense of Moroccan Raja after winning it on penalties 6-5, after a positive tie between the two teams 1-1.
Al-Ahly club succeeded in winning the eighth title of the African Super Cup during the match that brought them together at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan in the African Super Championship, which was held in the State of Qatar.
And the official account of CAF published a tweet on the “Twitter” website, in which he said: “Al-Ahly achieves the eighth title in its history, yes 8 for Al-Ahly.”
Al-Ahly was crowned the African Super Cup after defeating Moroccan Raja 6/5 in a penalty shootout in the African Super match that brought them together at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan in the African Super Championship, which is held in the State of Qatar.
Al-Ahly coach Pitso Musimani announced the formation of the team for the African Super match against Moroccan Raja, and the formation includes: Mohamed El-Shennawy, Badr Bannoun, Ayman Ashraf, Amr Al-Soulia, Diang, Hamdi Fathi, Akram Tawfiq, Ali Maaloul, Mohamed Magdy Afsha, Hussein El-Shahat and Percy tau.
And sitting on the bench are Ali Lotfi, Mohamed Hani, Yasser Ibrahim, Karim Fouad, Ahmed Abdel Qader, Taher Mohamed Taher and Mohamed Sharif.
While Al-Ahly’s list to face Raja was Mustafa Schubert, Hamza Alaa, Rami Rabia, Mahmoud Waheed, Muhammad Mahmoud, Ammar Hamdi, Louis Mixoni, Walid Suleiman, Ahmed Nabil “Koka”, Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba” and Hossam Hassan.
The Belgian Marc Wilmots, coach of the Moroccan Raja team, announced the formation of the confrontation with his Al-Ahly counterpart for the African Super Cup.
Hamid Haddad, the former Zamalek striker, leads the Moroccan Raja team’s offensive line in tonight’s match, Anas Al-Zeniti in goalkeeping, Harkas, Hadhoudi, Madkour, Jubeira in defense, Zakaria Al-Wardy, Fabrice Nujoma, Abdelilah Al-Hafezi in the middle and Mohsen Metwally, Mahmoud Benhalib, Hamid Haddad in attack.
