Algeria national football team arrives in Cairo to face Djibouti in the World Cup qualifiers
The Algerian national team arrived, Monday evening, at Cairo International Airport, in preparation for the African qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar in Group A with Burkina Faso, Niger and Djibouti.
Algeria leads Group A with 10 points from three victories and one draw, equal with Burkina Faso, before a decisive and decisive match between them in the last round.
On the other hand, Djibouti is at the bottom of Group A without any results after losing in the first four rounds.
The Algerian newspaper “Al-Shorouk” reported that the president of the Algerian Federation, Sharafeddine Amara, accompanied the delegation of the Greens team to Cairo, where he will be with the African champions, during their stay in Egypt.
The newspaper pointed out that Algeria coach Jamal Belmadi attended the first training session, during which the players were divided into two groups.
The players who participated on Sunday evening with their clubs will be satisfied with a light training session dedicated to the recovery, as for the players who benefited from a day of rest after participating with their teams, the training session allocated to them will be normal.
The Greens will participate in four training sessions in Cairo, before facing Djibouti next Friday, with a return to Algeria immediately after the meeting in order to prepare for the last round of qualifiers against Burkina Faso.
