Ancelotti’s comments after Real Madrid and Levante draw

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti revealed the reasons for his team’s 3-3 draw with its host Levante during the match that brought the two teams together.

This is on Sunday evening at Ciutat de Valencia in the second round of the Spanish League competition for the current season 2021-2022.

Ancelotti’s statement:

Ancelotti said during the match press conference:
“We controlled the first half well and entered the second half a bit weak…not as usual”

“We lost two points and the defensive commitment is not about quality, it’s about sacrificing yourself and we have to do that.”

Ancelotti praised young Vinicius Jr.:

“Vinicius is doing very well 3 goals in two games, he is a very important player and he is a young man in whom I have great confidence.”

“But the problem is not that Vinicius will score or not. The problem is in defense, we failed on the defensive side.”

Ancelotti added:

“In the second half, we were affected by the goal that we conceded early and we entered the half badly, so everyone must stick to the defensive side and we all have to work.”

Levante vs Real Madrid

The first goal for Real Madrid came 5 minutes after the match, through Welsh winger Gareth Bale, through the pass of French captain Karim Benzema.

At the beginning of the second half:

Levante scored two goals in a row through Roger Marti and Jose Campana in the 46th and 57th minutes, before substitute Vinicius Junior equalized for the Royal in the 73rd minute.

Then Levante scored the third goal in the 79th minute through Robert Suarez, and Vinicius equalized again with a wonderful goal in the 85th minute.

And before the end of the match, specifically in the 87th minute:
Levante player Ettore Fernandez was sent off before the match ended in a 3-3 draw between the two sides.

With this result, Real Madrid loses two valuable points in its career in the Spanish League and reaches point 4, while Levante reaches the second point.

Real Madrid’s lineup was as follows:
