Arsenal regain the top of the English Premier League by five against Nottingham

 

 

Arsenal swept its guest Nottingham Forest 5-0 in the match that brought them together this evening, Sunday, at the Emirates Stadium, in the 14th round of the English Premier League.

 

The Arsenal team started the first half offensively, and surrounded Nottingham Forest in the center of its stadium, in search of an early goal during the match.

 

And the Brazilian Martinelli managed to snatch the first goal for Arsenal against Nottingham from a wonderful header in the 5th minute.

 

Arsenal stars celebrated Martinelli’s goal by carrying the shirt of Pablo Mari, the Gunners player loaned to Italian Monza, who was stabbed a few days ago, as a kind of support for him after the tragic incident.

 

Bukayo Saka missed the opportunity to score Arsenal’s second goal against Nottingham with a powerful shot inside the penalty area in the 20th minute.

 

In the 27th minute, Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka was injured in front of Nottingham, and his colleague Ren Nelson was pushed into the artillery attack.

 

The Arsenal team continued its attack and control of the situation against Nottingham, in order to strengthen the lead with a second goal in the match.

 

In the 49th minute, Reiss Nelson scored Arsenal’s second goal against Nottingham, with a powerful shot that ripped the visitors’ net.

 

Young Englishman Reiss Nelson boosted Arsenal’s lead with a third goal against Nottingham, in the 52nd minute of the second half, with an assist from Brazilian Jesus.

 

Ghanaian international Thomas Partey fired a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, tearing Nottingham’s fourth goal for Arsenal in the 58th minute.

 

In the 78th minute, Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard scored the fifth goal for the Gunners against Nottingham.

 

With this result, Arsenal regains the top spot in the English Premier League standings with 31 points, two points behind runner-up Manchester City, while Nottingham’s balance freezes at point 9 in the last place.
