Aston Villa regain their Premier League victories at the expense of Southampton
Aston Villa regained the tone of victories in the English Premier League, at the expense of its guest, Southampton, with a clean goal, in the meeting that brought the two teams together on Friday evening, at Villa Park, in the opening of the eighth round of the competition.
And the English Premier League matches returned on Friday evening, after the seventh round matches were postponed, due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Britain, on Thursday before last. Jacob Ramsey scored the winning goal for Aston Villa, in the 41st minute of the match.
The Villains managed to achieve their second victory in the Premier League this season, since beating Everton in the second round, 2-1.
Aston Villa raised its score to the seventh point to occupy the thirteenth place in the Premier League table, while Southampton’s balance stopped at the same number of points, but in the twelfth place.
In another match, Fulham defeated its host Nottingham Forest 3-2.
The matches of the eighth round of the Premier League will be completed tomorrow, Saturday, with 3 matches. Manchester City will host Wolverhampton, Newcastle United will host Bournemouth, and Tottenham will face Leicester City.
