Barcelona sign Aubameyang from Arsenal

The Spanish club Barcelona succeeded in signing Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on loan until the end of the season, minutes before the winter transfer window closed.

The Gabonese striker Aubameyang arrived at the office of Barcelona club president Laporta and signed the contracts after agreeing on everything with the player and Arsenal, and Barca will announce the deal in the coming times.

Radio “Tok Sport” indicated that Barcelona had finally reached an agreement with Arsenal to include the Gabonese player, as he is currently conducting routine medical tests before signing the contract.

And the English newspaper, the Daily Mail, confirmed that negotiations between Barcelona and Arsenal had faltered, due to a dispute over the player’s salary, and that Barcelona really needed a lot of money to contract with Aubameyang, and therefore the 32-year-old would return to London, where Aubameyang’s trip to Barcelona is like a family vacation.

Barcelona was keen to sign Aubameyang from Gabonese to replace Argentine Sergio Aguero, who retired from football due to heart problems.

It is worth noting that Aubameyang’s contract with Arsenal will expire in the summer of 2023, as he still has a season and a half left in his contract, so leaving in January would be the best solution to get rid of his large salary.
