Barcelona is considering signing Lukaku after the failure to include Lewandowski
Barcelona is looking to strengthen the team’s attack during the upcoming summer transfer market, in order to prepare for the new season, as it seeks the services of Polish star Robert Lewandowski, Bayern Munich’s top scorer and the best player in the world for 2021.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Sport”, Barcelona is heading to sign the powerful Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku, the Chelsea star, in light of Bayern Munich’s refusal to give up the services of his Polish star Robert Lewandowski, whose contract expires in the summer of 2023.
The newspaper added that Lukaku is looking to leave Chelsea in the summer Mercato, especially in light of his tense relationship with German coach Thomas Tuchel, which caused him to sit on the bench during the current season.
The newspaper pointed out that Inter Milan would be a strong competitor to Barcelona if it entered into negotiations with Chelsea to annex Lukaku, especially since the Italian club witnessed the great brilliance of the Belgian striker before joining the Blues last summer in a deal worth 98 million pounds.
Barca is seeking to get rid of all its attackers in the summer transfer market, except for Gabonese Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, where Dutchman Luke de Jong will return to Seville after the end of his loan, and sell the duo Memphis Depay and Martin Braithwaite.
