Barcelona has lost one match in its last 17 matches in which it hosted an Italian team
The Spanish team Barcelona will host its Italian counterpart, Inter Milan, at nine in the evening, today, Wednesday, at the “Camp Nou” stadium, in the fourth round of the third group of the Champions League for the current season 022-2023.
Inter Milan snatched the third group rank with 6 points, behind the leaders Bayern Munich with 9 points, while Barcelona occupies third place with 3 points.
According to the Opta statistics network, Barcelona has only suffered one loss in the last 17 matches in which it hosted an Italian team, in the Champions League, although it was in its last match, 0-3 against Juventus in December 2020.
The Italian team, Inter Milan, snatched a difficult victory from its Spanish counterpart, Barcelona, 1–0, during the match that brought the two teams together last night at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium in Milan.
Barcelona suffered from refereeing errors that cost it the result of the match, according to Joan Laporta, president of the Catalan club, who waved to file a complaint with the European Union because of the events in the match.
Barcelona opened its campaign in the group stage in the current edition of the Champions League with a broad victory over Viktoria Plzen, 5-1, before losing away to Bayern Munich with two goals without a response.
As for Inter, it opened its campaign in the worst possible way, losing to Bayern Munich with two clean goals, but defeated Viktoria Plzen in the second group with the same result.
