World Cup 2022.. Barcelona assigns a physical trainer to accompany Araujo in the World Cup

 

The Spanish club Barcelona decided to assign a physical trainer with the Uruguay team, to follow up on the condition of Celeste defender Ronaldo Araujo, during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

 

The Uruguay national team, led by coach Diego Alonso, decided to call Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo to Celeste’s World Cup list, despite not recovering from the surgery he underwent in Finland.

 

Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo underwent surgery on the adductor longus tendon in his right leg in Finland on September 28.

 

The Catalan newspaper “Sport” reported that Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez assigned a physical trainer to accompany Ronald Araujo with the Uruguay national team in the World Cup, to monitor him and notify the club of his medical developments.

 

The newspaper added that Barcelona coach Xavi gave Ronald Aruajo the opportunity to participate with Uruguay in the 2022 World Cup, but if his medical condition allows it.

 

The Uruguayan squad list is as follows:

 

Goalkeepers: Muslera, Rochet, Sosa.

 

Defense: Jimenez, Coates, Godin, Caceres, Araujo, Rodriguez, Espina, Oliveira and Fina.

 

Midfield: Bentancur, Valverde, Carballo, Ficino, De Arrascaeta, Pelicer.

 

Forwards: Satriano, Torres, Nunez, Cavani, Suarez, Lopez.
