
Officially.. Bayern Munich extends the contract of its second goalkeeper until 2024
Bayern Munich announced today, Friday, the extension of the contract of its second goalkeeper, Sven Ulrich, for another year, to continue with the Bavarian team until 2024.
Bayern Munich said in its statement: “Bayern Munich extended the current contract with Sven Ulrich for another year until the summer of 2024. The 34-year-old goalkeeper came to Munich from Stuttgart in 2015, in 2020 he moved to Hamburg, but He returned to the Bavarian team in 2021.”
Ulrich told the club’s official website: “I am very happy to be staying with Bayern Munich. The cooperation with the whole team and especially with Manuel Neuer has grown into something special over many years. We are perfectly coordinated and I really enjoy my work. Bayern knows that I am always there when you need me. The goal is Winning more titles, that’s what we’re all here for, that’s what we deliver every day.”
Hasan Salihamidzic, the club’s sporting director, said: “This contract extension expresses the sporting importance that Sven has for our team. He has always been supportive when needed, including in the dressing room. It was also important to us that he was our coordinator. Very well with Manuel Neuer in our goalkeeper training group for years. They both support each other and we need that in this important position. I look forward to continuing to work together.”
Bayern Munich leads the German league standings with 31 points, 4 points ahead of its closest rivals, Union Berlin, with 27 points.
