Bayern Munich sweeps Hertha Berlin by four and consolidates its lead in the German League

Bayern Munich swept its host Hertha Berlin 4-1, in the meeting that brought them together on Sunday evening, at the “Olympic” stadium in Berlin, at the end of the twentieth round of the German Bundesliga “Bundesliga” for the current season 2021-2022.

Bayern Munich ended the first half with a clean double, as French midfielder Corentin Tolisso opened the Bavarian goals in the 25th minute, with a powerful header to the left of Hertha Berlin’s goalkeeper, taking advantage of his compatriot Kingsley Coman’s cross.

The star Thomas Muller added the second goal of the Bavarian team in the 45th minute, after following Joshua Kimmich’s cross, which was located to the right of the goalkeeper.

In the second half, Bayern Munich continued its dominance and managed to score the third and fourth goals through Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry in the 75th and 79th minutes.

Jürgen Eckelenkamp scored Hertha Berlin’s only goal in the 80th minute of the match.

Bayern Munich strengthened its lead in the German League standings with 49 points, 6 points ahead of its closest competitor, Borussia Dortmund, the runner-up with 43 points.

The Bavarian team had swept its host Cologne 4-0 in the last round of the Bundesliga.
