Bayern Munich plans to extend Lewandowski and Goretzka contracts for long periods

German press reports revealed:

The Bayern Munich administration has sought to extend the contracts of the two stars of the Polish team, striker Robert Lewandowski and midfielder Leon Goretzka for a long time, especially as they are among the main elements in coach Nagelsmann’s team.

The German newspaper “Bild” reported:

Bayern Munich officials want to keep the duo Robert Lewandowski and Leon Goretzka for a long time by signing long-term contracts in order to decide their future with the club.

The newspaper added that contract talks with Leon Goretzka are pending if an agreement is not reached, the player wants to complete the 21/22 season in Bayern and then leave on a free transfer next summer.

Lewandowski was linked to more than one club this summer, such as Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain.

Nagelsmann, the new coach of Bayern Munich, spoke about Lewandowski’s future, saying:

“Lewandowski feels at home in Munich and Bayern Munich is delighted that he is the highest paid player in the club and has star status and is the third captain of the team and Bayern Munich wants to renew his contract and is not expected to leave.”

Real Madrid is watching Goretzka’s position well because they are interested in signing him if he does not renew with Bayern Munich.

In the same way, David Alaba was contracted for free after the expiration of his contract with the Bavarian team.
