Benfica defeats Dynamo Kyiv and is close to qualifying for the Champions League group stage

 

The Portuguese Benfica won a valuable victory over its host Ukrainian club Dynamo Kyiv, in the meeting that brought the two teams together this evening, Wednesday, at the “Lux” stadium in Lodz, Poland, in the first leg of the qualifying round for the group stage of the European Champions League.

 

Benfica’s goals came in the first half of the match, scored by Gilberto Moraes Junior and Goncalo Ramos in the 10th and 37th minutes of the match.

 

The Portuguese team will host its counterpart Dynamo Kyiv in the second leg next Tuesday at the “Al-Nour” stadium.

 

In another match, Azerbaijan’s Karbag Ajdam tied with its guest, the Czech team Viktoria Plzen, without goals.

 

The Turkish professional Terrazzospor, in its ranks, the Egyptian star Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, lost 2-1 against its Danish host Copenhagen on Tuesday. It is worth noting that the draw for the group stage of the European Champions League will be held on Thursday, August 25.
