The German club, Borussia Dortmund, announced today, Wednesday, that it has signed Ivorian star Sebastian Haller, on a 4-year contract, to continue with the team until 2026, coming from Ajax Amsterdam, the Netherlands, during the current summer transfer market.
The German club said, “Borussia Dortmund has signed Sebastian Haller, the 28-year-old international player is moving from Côte d’Ivoire from Ajax Amsterdam, where he signed a contract that runs until June 30, 2026.
German press reports revealed that the Ivorian striker’s deal cost the Borussia Dortmund treasury an amount of 31 million euros.
Haller will wear the number 9 shirt with Borussia Dortmund, which was worn by the Norwegian star Erling Halland, who moved to Manchester City during the current summer Mercato.
“Sebastian has a high level of physical presence and is also very flexible physically, and thanks to his experience, he can give our young players support and stability in attack,” says Sebastian Kell, new sporting director of Borussia Dortmund. Haller played 65 matches with Borussia Dortmund in various competitions, scoring 47 goals and providing 16 assists.
