CAF Imposes Sanctions on Al Ahly of Egypt. This came after their match against ES Tunis in the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League.
CAF released an official statement on Tuesday. It said, the organizers of the match mentioned in their report that Al Ahly fans used fireworks. The match took place in Estadio Olímpico de Radès.
It added that CAF followed articles 82, 83.1, 83.3 of the Disciplinary Regulations. And that the CAF imposes a fine of $8,000 on al Ahly for the unsportsmanlike behavior of their fans.
Al Ahly beat ES Tunis 4-0 to qualify for the final of the African Champions League.
In addition, Al Ahly defeated Kaizer Chiefs 3-0.
Al Ain snatches Rahimi from Al Ahly
Some Moroccan reports revealed the deal between the officials of Al Ain and Raja Club. They plan to add Soufiane Rahimi to the team.
Rahimi has led his team to win the CAF Confederation Cup this season.
He helped his team reach the semi-finals of CAF Champions League. Thus, news spread about Al Ahly negotiations to include him.
According to Moroccan reports, the deal between Al Ain and Raja club is sealed.
Raja club conditioned the player to move after Arab Club Champions Cup Final. This was the difference between the two clubs.
