Chelsea announces Lukaku’s readiness for Arsenal match

English press reports revealed:

The new Chelsea duo Romelu Lukaku and the team’s star, N’Golo Kante, are on their way to participate in Sunday’s match in the English Premier League with rivals Arsenal.

The English newspaper “The Athletic” reported:

Lukaku, who holds the record for the most expensive deal in the club’s history, worth 97.5 million pounds, came from Inter Milan last week.

He will join his new teammates at Cobham’s training ground in Chelsea on Tuesday after a short period of quarantine due to coronavirus rules.

Influential midfielder Kante, who also missed Saturday’s 3-0 win over Crystal Palace, has an ankle problem but is expected to be back soon before the Arsenal game.

Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel said:

“We expect Romelu out of quarantine on Monday and he can join the team on Tuesday because Monday is our day off.”

Tokhil added:

“We will prepare him to be ready for Arsenal and hopefully on the pitch we bring the first striker and we want him on the pitch that’s very clear.”

Tuchel did not risk sending Kante against Crystal Palace after playing the first 65 minutes of last week’s European Super Cup win over Villarreal.
