Chelsea snatch a thrilling victory from Leeds and Arsenal defeat Southampton in the English Premier League

Chelsea snatched an exciting victory from its guest team Leeds United, 3-2, in the meeting that brought the two teams together this evening, Saturday, at “Stamford Bridge”, in the sixteenth round of the English Premier League for the current season 2021-2022.

The positive tie was settled with a score of 1-1 in the first half of the match, Leeds United made the first goal in the 28th minute of the match through Brazilian star Rafinha from a penalty kick.

Mason Mont scored the equalizer for Chelsea in the 42nd minute after following the cross of his Spanish colleague Marcos Alonso.

In the second half, the Italian Jorginho managed to give Chelsea the second goal in the 58th minute through a penalty kick, and Joe Gilhardt equalized for the visitors in the 83rd minute.
Jorginho scored the winning goal for the Blues team in the fourth minute of the match instead of a penalty kick as well, to grab Chelsea 3 valuable points and return to victory after losing in the last round against its host West Ham United 3-2.

Chelsea raised its score to 36 points in third place, two points behind leaders Manchester City with 38 points, after its difficult victory today against its guest Wolverhampton with a clean goal, while Leeds United occupies fifteenth place with 16 points.

In another match, Arsenal defeated its guest, Southampton, by three goals, which brought the two teams together this evening, Saturday, at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal raised its score to 26 points in fifth place in the Premier League table, while Southampton’s balance stopped at 16 points in 16th place.
