China Praises Qatar’s preparations for the 2022 World Cup
The governor of Chengdu, China, Fan Ruiping, praises Qatar’s preparations for the 2022 World Cup.
This came during a meeting with the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the People’s Republic of China, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Dhaimi. Mr. Fan Ruiping, Governor of Chengdu, Member of the Sichuan Provincial Communist Party of China Standing Committee, welcomed him.
Ruiping expressed his admiration for the great development of sports in Qatar. He expressed his astonishment at the great efforts he witnessed during his visit to Doha in 2019.
He also praised the remarkable achievements and progress in the World Cup projects.
Ruiping asserted the need to benefit from Qatari expertise. Especially when it comes to Doha’s preparations to host the 2022 World Cup.
The governor of the Chinese city called for the establishment of branches for important sports facilities, such as Aspetar and Aspire in Chengdu.
He expressed interest in exchanging sports camps and holding a promotional exhibition for the World Cup in Chengdu, the fourth largest city in China.
For his part, Al-Dehaimi stressed that his visit to Chengdu comes within the framework of following up and activating what was agreed upon during the visit of Mr. Fan Ruiping to the State of Qatar in 2019.
He pointed out the importance of finding ways to further develop and strengthen relations between the two countries. And he discussed the issue of twinning between Doha and Chengdu.
Doha will host the 2022 World Cup. Amid great global interest in modern stadiums and advanced infrastructure, they were built and developed by the State of Qatar. Thus, China praises Qatar’s impressive preparations.
