Courtois misses Real Madrid’s match against Al-Ahly

 

Belgian Thibaut Courtois, Real Madrid’s Spanish goalkeeper, panicked the team’s fans before facing Al-Ahly of Egypt in the Club World Cup.

 

Real Madrid is preparing to face Al-Ahly of Egypt, next Wednesday, at Prince Moulay Abdullah Stadium, in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup.

 

The royal team concludes its preparations for Al-Ahly when it faces its counterpart, Real Mallorca, on Sunday, in the framework of the 20th round of the Spanish League Championship (La Liga).

 

What is Thibaut Courtois injury?

 

Minutes before the start of the match, Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois suffered disturbances in the left leg, which raised concerns about his ability to participate.

 

And according to the Spanish radio “Cadena Kobe”, Thibaut Courtois left the warm-up for his team a few minutes before the match against Mallorca.

 

The radio indicated that the Belgian goalkeeper suffers from an injury in his left leg, and he underwent some tests, accompanied by the medical staff, urgently, to determine the extent of the injury.

 

And the American “ESPN” network indicated that Thibaut Courtois will not participate in the match and has been excluded for fear of aggravating the injury.

 

Thus, the Ukrainian substitute goalkeeper Andriy Lunin will participate in his place, after he participated in the warm-up operations as soon as the Belgian goalkeeper left due to the injury.

 

Will Courtois miss the Al-Ahly and Real Madrid match?

 

And press reports confirmed that Courtois is threatened with absence from the Club World Cup hosted by Morocco, as he will undergo further examinations to determine his position.

 

Courtois joined the series of Real Madrid injuries represented by the French Karim Benzema and Ferland Mendy, the Belgian Eden Hazard, the Spanish Lucas Vazquez, and the Brazilian Eder Militao.
