Cristiano Ronaldo is close to leaving Manchester United

English press reports revealed that Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo is close to leaving Manchester United this summer, less than a year after joining the Red Devils.

The 37-year-old returned to Old Trafford in the last summer transfer window and participated in 30 games with the Red Devils this season, scoring 15 goals.

Man United faces the possibility of not participating in the Champions League next season, which prompted the Portuguese international to think about his future.

And according to the English newspaper, “The Sun”, that Ronaldo, whose contract expires in the summer of 2023, met with his agent Jorge Mendes to discuss an exit in the upcoming Mercato, and the report claimed that Mendes unsuccessfully tried to “calm the player” amid reports that the veteran was informed that he had lost his place in the team.

Ronaldo decided to travel to Portugal instead of meeting his teammates on Saturday, but he has since returned to the club’s “Carrington” training complex, and has not yet completed full training.
