Cristiano Ronaldo introduces himself to Borussia Dortmund

Press reports revealed that the Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, wants to join the ranks of the German team, Borussia Dortmund, during the current summer transfer market, in light of his quest to leave Manchester United.

And the German newspaper “Bild” reported that Ronaldo will be open to the option of joining the ranks of Borussia Dortmund during the current summer Mercato, in order to ensure participation in the European Champions League next season.

The newspaper added that Dortmund’s shares rose by 2.3% on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, after press reports linking the Westphalian lions and the Portuguese star in the past few hours.

The newspaper pointed out that Ronaldo’s joining Dortmund faces a number of difficulties, most notably his huge salary, as the Portuguese star receives about 29 euros annually by Manchester United, an amount that is several times more than the highest paid player in Dortmund.

In addition, Borussia signed Anthony Modeste to fill the void left by Ivorian striker Sebastian Haller, who is battling cancer.

In another context, the Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United striker, received a warning from the English police, against the background of smashing a child’s phone, after the defeat by Everton last season.

Ronaldo slapped Jacob Harding’s hand when he left Goodison Park after his team lost to Everton last season, but later apologized to the 14-year-old who suffers from autism.

The English newspaper “Mirror” reported that Merseyside police had interviewed the Portuguese star earlier this month, regarding the alleged assault and criminal harm against a young child.
