Croatia goalkeeper best in his country’s match against Brazil in the quarter-finals of World Cup


Croatia goalkeeper Levakovic was named the best player in his country’s match against Brazil, after leading his country to the semi-finals of the World Cup.


The Croatian national team succeeded in achieving a difficult victory over its Brazilian counterpart on penalties 4-2, after the end of 120 minutes between the two teams in a 1-1 draw, during the match that brought the two teams together at Education City Stadium, in the opening quarter-finals of the current edition of the World Cup “Qatar 2022”, to become the Seleção team the first to qualify for the semi-finals of the World Cup.


The in-form goalkeeper won the award after saving a penalty from Rodrygo, as well as several dangerous balls for Brazil throughout the match.

The Brazilian national team succeeded in qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, after its sweeping victory over its South Korean counterpart 4-1 in the round of 16, while the Croatian team arrived at the expense of its Japanese counterpart, on penalties with a score of 3-1, after the end of the original and extra time with a score of 1-1 draw.


The Brazilian national team topped Group G with 6 points, collected from the victory over Serbia 2-0 and Switzerland 1-0 and lost to Cameroon by the same result, while the Croatian team was runner-up in Group F with 5 points, after a goalless draw with Morocco and Belgium and beat Canada 4-1.
