England coach turns Arnold into a winger against Andorra in the World Cup qualifiers

Press reports revealed that Trent Alexander-Arnold, the right-back of the professional Liverpool team, is in his ranks, the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.

He will participate with the England national team in a new position, during the match against his guest, Andorra, which is scheduled for 6 pm on Sunday, at Wembley Stadium.

This is part of the fifth round of group nine competitions in the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The English newspaper, The Telegraph, reported:

The England coach, Gareth Southgate, will involve Arnold, the right-back of the Liverpool team, against his Andorra team in the midfield, as he will be the right wing of the Three Lions in this confrontation.

On this matter, Arnold spoke to the English newspaper “The Guardian”, saying:

“I’m a right-back, I’ve played all my career and haven’t been out of it much, in the Premier League I haven’t played in midfield, so it’s hard to say if I’ll be able to deal with it.”

He added:

“I try to get ahead, influence the game and create chances, whether I find myself off the ball or on the side of the ball, the important thing is to hurt the opponent.”

He continued:

“Since I joined the national team I haven’t really been the best version of myself, I haven’t been the regular shows I’ve given for the club and I expect more from myself when I play for England.”

In the last round, the England national team defeated Hungary by four goals.

England leads the Group I table with 12 points, after winning all its matches, while Andorra is fifth with 3 points.
