Galatasaray announces the termination of the contract with coach Fatih Tarim due to poor results

The Turkish club Galatasaray officially announced today, Monday, the termination of the contract of its coach, Fatih Tarim, due to poor results recently, whether at the local or European level.

And Galata Saray, the Turkish professional within its Egyptian international ranks, Mustafa Mohamed, published an official statement on his official website and his account on Twitter, confirming the termination of the contract of his coach, Fateh Tarim, by mutual consent between the two parties.

The statement stated, “Since we have mutually agreed with Fatih Terim, who has taken responsibility with us for the success of the football strategy we believe in as management for the future of our club, he will not continue in his current position as the coach of our club as of today.”

The statement added, “On this road we walk together for Galatasaray, our country and our club have achieved countless great successes; We will always continue to benefit from the ideas and experience of Galatasaray player Fatih Terim, who has had a success that makes us all proud in Europe this season as well.

Galatasaray had activated the permanent purchase clause in Mustafa Mohamed’s contract, coming from Zamalek Club, where he paid $4 million at the end of last year.

Some reports said that the Galatasaray administration is currently studying contracting with the Spanish assistant coach Dominic Torrent to his compatriot Pep Guardiola, the technical director of Manchester City, especially as he is the first candidate to succeed Tarim.

The newspaper added that Galatasaray held a session with the Spanish coach to agree with the contract details and obtained his initial approval.
