Guardiola: The weather conditions did not allow Manchester City to win a big result against West Ham.

Heavy snow fell on the stadium throughout the match, and stadium workers had to clear the snow before the match started, as well as between the two halves.

Guardiola commented during his statements after the meeting, saying: “It was a big win for us. Perhaps we can work quickly and with another rhythm, but the weather conditions did not allow us to do so. It was a good performance from us.”

“The staff on the field were the men of the match and they did a great job today,” Pep added.

Regarding the absence of John Stones, he said, “John Stones was not feeling well in the past two days. He was ill after the Paris Saint-Germain match.”

The first goal came through German international Ilkay Gundogan in the 33rd minute, before Brazilian Fernandinho consolidated the victory with a second goal in the 90th minute.

The match became more exciting the last time after Fernandinho’s goal, West Ham’s Manuel Lanzini scored the first and only goal for his team in the 94th minute, after which the referee blew the final whistle.

With this result, Manchester City occupies second place in the English Premier League table with 29 points, with a goal difference with leaders Chelsea, while West Ham is fourth with 23 points.
