Hassan Maatouk praises Qatar for organizing the Arab Cup

Hassan Maatouk, the player of the Lebanese national team, praised the great interest that his team found in the qualifiers for the Arab Cup finals Qatar 2021. From the moment he arrived at the airport. Which left wonderful impressions on the mission. He praised the great professionalism in taking care of all the details of the organization.

He expressed his appreciation for the great efforts made by the Local Organizing Committee in order to accomplish its work with utmost precision.

In an interview with the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy team, Maatouk said. “What we have seen since the moment of arrival is truly amazing. The great attention we have received since we came has left very good impressions on all the members of the expedition.”

He added, “What we have witnessed has made us feel the great interest that Qatar attaches to the championship. What guarantees its success, of course. This also confirms that Qatar will host the Arab Cup finals in an exceptional way that makes its next edition historic. They can without a doubt, as the state is a pioneer in organizing sporting events. Especially as it is about to organize the largest football event in the world.”

Speaking about the facilities and stadiums, Hassan Maatouk said: “The training grounds have international specifications. Khalifa Stadium is a masterpiece in itself, not to mention the unique cooling technology. It has become a Qatari specialty that caught the world’s attention.”

Regarding the qualification of the Lebanese national team, he said: “We achieved the desired goal by qualifying. And we are happy to reach the finals. We knew the task would not be easy. The competitor has the motive, but we did what we looked for. We look forward to distinguished participation in the finals as an ideal opportunity for us to engage with distinguished Arab teams. We will play in a strong African group.”

The Lebanese team won a difficult victory over Djibouti on Wednesday evening, June 23. The game was for the qualifying play-off for the Arab Cup, in Khalifa International Stadium in Doha.

The Lebanon team will play in the Arab Cup Qatar 2021 in the framework of Group D. It includes Algeria, Egypt, and Sudan, which overcame the obstacle of Libya in the qualifiers.

The tournament will be held with the participation of 16 Arab teams, with the official organization of FIFA, from November 30 to December 18 this year.
