Ibrahimovic: I am confident that Sweden will qualify directly for the 2022 World Cup

Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic expressed his confidence today, Monday, that his country will succeed in qualifying directly for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The Swedish team is at the top of Group B with 15 points, two points behind Spain, which it will face at the end of the qualifying campaign, which will determine the direct qualifier from the group for the Qatar World Cup.

The Scandinavian national team captain said during a press conference: “We only have the last breath left to reach what we seek, but my confidence in my teammates and in our capabilities .. I am sure that things will go well.”

Ibra refused to talk about next Sunday’s “fatal” confrontation with Spain in Seville, and indicated that he was only thinking of facing Georgia next Thursday.

He added, “I’m here because I’m another part of the team. If Jan (coach Anderson) wants me to play both games, I’ll play. If he wants me to play just one, I will. It depends on what the coach wants.”

The 40-year-old refused to talk about the date of his retirement from football, and did not even confirm that the decision would be after the World Cup (in case of qualification).
