Inter Milan to compete with Juventus for Pjanic from Barcelona

Italian press reports revealed that Inter Milan had entered into advanced negotiations with the Bosnian international, Miralem Pjanic, Barcelona midfielder.

To join him during the current summer transfer period to support the Italian league champions before the start of the next season 2021/22.

Reports confirmed that Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta has entered into serious talks with Miralem Pjanic’s player.

The former Juventus player has been linked with a return to the Allianz Stadium, but the old lady is currently working to sign Manuel Locatelli and Pjanic may have to look elsewhere.

Miralem Pjanic moved to Barcelona in a swap deal that saw Arthur Melo join Juventus.

But the Blaugrana are willing to allow the Bosnian international to leave after just one season at Camp Nou.

According to the Italian newspaper, “La Gazzetta dello Sport”, Barcelona wants to get rid of the former Roma star and Juventus to return him to the Italian League, but Inter is now in the pursuit of the midfielder.

The Nerazzurri are expected to sit down with midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and discuss new terms but the Croatia international is still linked with a departure from the club.

Marotta, who brought Pjanic to Juventus in 2016, contacted the 31-year-old and lined up with him as a potential replacement should Brozovic leave.
