Italy tied with Northern Ireland
The Italian national team fell into the trap of a goalless draw against its host Northern Ireland, in the confrontation that brought them together this evening, Monday.
At Windsor Park, as part of the tenth and final round of European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Italy, led by coach Roberto Mancini, failed to qualify directly for the World Cup to be in the playoffs, while Switzerland took the lead by defeating Bulgaria at the same time, to join the list of teams that booked their place in the 2022 World Cup.
At the same time, Switzerland won a big victory over its guest, Bulgaria, by four goals, in the match that was held at the Swissport Arena, in the tenth round of matches.
Noa Okafor scored the first goal for Switzerland in the 48th minute, then Robin Vargas added the second goal in the 57th minute.
Cedric Iten boosted the Swiss team’s lead with the third goal in the 72nd minute of the match, and Remo Frelier ended the quartet in the last minute of the match.
And the referee canceled two goals for the Swiss team for offside in the 64th and 70th minutes of the match.
