Juventus fails to sign Locatelli and UEFA selects 13,000 fans to attend the European Super between Chelsea and Villarreal

10 million euros delays Locatelli’s transfer to Juventus:

Juventus continues its efforts to sign Sassuolo midfielder Locatelli, during the current summer transfer market, to support Massimiliano Allegri’s team in the new season 2021-2022.

The Italian network, Sky Sports, reported that the meeting that brought together Juventus and Sassuolo officials today, Friday, did not reach a final agreement on completing the deal, and there are no concrete steps in the negotiations.

Sky added, that Sassuolo officials insist on the required amount of 40 million euros to complete the deal, in contrast, Juve’s offer is still on loan in the first season with an obligatory purchase for 30 million euros.

The Italian network indicated that negotiations will continue between the two clubs during the next few days, in order to reach a final version of the deal.

And the Italian newspaper, “La Gazzetta dello Sport”, had indicated that Liverpool had joined the race to sign the 23-year-old midfielder, Sassuolo Locatelli, who is a priority in the Juventus summer transfer market, and talks with his club’s management have been going on for weeks.

Locatelli, who won Euro 2020 with Italy, refused to move to Arsenal, where he wants to join Juventus in order to play in the Champions League.

Juventus will open its new season in the Italian League, which will start on August 22, against its host Udinese.

Juve had failed to win the Calcio title last season, which went to Inter Milan, after 9 consecutive seasons, the old lady’s team monopolized the championship title.

UEFA selects 13,000 fans to attend the European Super between Chelsea and Villarreal:

The European Football Association “UEFA” announced today, Friday, that 13,000 fans will attend the European Super match, which will be held between Chelsea and Villarreal, on August 11, at the “Windsor Park” stadium in Belfast, capital of Northern Ireland.

UEFA revealed that requests for tickets for the match have started, and that fans who will attend the match must submit a negative result of the Corona virus test in order to attend the match, while fans from outside the host country will be subject to the rules followed by the state, with regard to Corona.

The Champions League champions will face the Spanish club, Villarreal, the European champions, in the European Super Cup, which will be held at Windsor Park.

Chelsea won the Champions League for the second time in its history, after defeating Manchester City with a clean goal, in the meeting that brought the two teams together at the Dragao Stadium in Porto, Portugal on May 29.

On the other hand, Villarreal won the European League title for the first time in its history, at the expense of Manchester United, with a penalty shootout 11-10, after the end of the original and extra time for the final match with a 1-1 draw, which brought the two teams together in Poland last May 26.

Bayern Munich was the last to win the European Super Cup in 2020, after its victory over the Spanish team Seville, 2-1, after the match was extended to overtime.

Barcelona and AC Milan hold the record for winning the European Super Cup with 5 titles.
