Klopp: Excited to play against Rangers, and these are the details of Diaz and Arnold’s injuries
German coach Jurgen Klopp spoke about the upcoming match against Glasgow Ranges, which will be held at nine in the evening at Ibrox Stadium, in the fourth round of the Champions League for the current season 2022-2023.
Jurgen Klopp said during the match press conference: “Diaz is out for a period of 6-8 weeks, but his injury could have been worse.”
Jurgen Klopp added: “Trent is injured and his injury at the beginning looked serious, this is the situation we are in and we will deal with it.”
Jurgen Klopp stressed: “Robertson is in the squad, but no Chamberlain, no Jones, too, needs other training.”
And Klopp continued: “Arsenal’s first goal was offside for those who did not specify it because of the camera angle, and then the referees said at the beginning of the season that they would not award questionable penalties, but they were calculated and we had to chase Arsenal.”
“Of course, the right refereeing decisions may help the situation, but we lost the game and we will continue to fight,” Klopp said. “We fought hard against Arsenal and we will do that against Rangers.”
“Rangers? We have to fight against them to decide things in the group,” Klopp said. “I am excited to play at Ibrox, where it will be my first experience and it will be a difficult match.”
Jurgen Klopp explained: “We conceded naive goals against Arsenal, but between the first and the second goal we played a very good match against a brilliant team.”
And the Liverpool coach continued: “We are human beings and we are exposed to fatigue and this is normal. In the Champions League the matches are equal and we know sometimes that matches outside the ground are more difficult.”
Jurgen Klopp stressed: “Trent’s injury? It seemed serious at the beginning, frankly, but the medical staff told me that he would be out for two weeks.”
And Klopp added: “Rangers wanted to win last week and we were very good and we always remember the strength of Anfield, but it is always about the momentum. It will be a difficult game but we have to play it anyway.”
Klopp said: “Núñez? It is important for him to be confident after the performance against Arsenal and also gave very good moments against Rangers last week and he was amazing but their goalkeeper shined, Darwin’s performance was very special.”
Jurgen Klopp continued: “I don’t want to talk about it again, but Arsenal’s penalty wasn’t right. We lost the last game and had three new injuries. How can I not help but feel sad?”
Klopp confirmed: “Trent will be out for two weeks and Joel Matip will not be injured for long.”
Jurgen Klopp said: “The first goal against Arsenal we didn’t defend well but it was offside. The penalty we shouldn’t have let them get that chance but it wasn’t a real penalty, we are not responsible for everything, sometimes the decisions are against you and against Arsenal we wanted to win. Only against a team vying for the title.”
Jurgen Klopp continued: “It’s easy for you to talk and we have to accept the decisions of the referee, there is no need to tell me that, I do that (I accept the decisions of the referees) throughout my career.”
Klopp continued: “We are in a very difficult situation, but it is a big challenge for us. I don’t promise you that we will glow tomorrow but I promise you that we will fight hard until the fight is over, this is what I can promise you. I really liked our team today in training.”
And Klopp explained: “I don’t promise you to shine [tomorrow], but I promise to fight for the last second.”
“The level of Napoli is very surprising, they are very strong and everything is in their favour, and they play very good football,” said Jurgen Klopp.
Klopp explained: “Ibrox Stadium? I watched the Old Firm derby (against Celtic) a lot and really liked the atmosphere. Andy Robertson played here with Dundee United. The atmosphere here is always very special as my first experience in every stadium I experience.”
