Konate misses Liverpool’s Premier League opener due to injury


The absence of French international Ibrahim Konate was confirmed for his team Liverpool’s opening match in the English Premier League, after it was confirmed that he had not recovered from the injury he suffered during his team’s friendly match against Strasbourg, which was held a few days ago in preparation for the new season.

According to Liverpool’s official website: “The central defender was forced off the field in the second half of the Anfield match after receiving a blow.”


“Unfortunately, I have to spend some time off the field, but it won’t be long,” Konate wrote on his official account on social media.


“In the meantime, I will do everything in my power to come back stronger and support the boys,” stressed Ibrahima Konate.
