Lewandowski shocks Bayern Munich by refusing to extend his contract

Press reports revealed that the Polish star, Robert Lewandowski, told the management of his club, Bayern Munich, his desire not to extend his contract, which expires in 2023, as he seeks to leave during the upcoming summer transfer market.

According to Sky Sports, the Polish star Lewandowski seeks to join Barcelona during the next summer transfer market, and told Bayern Munich officials that he did not want to extend his contract with the club.

For its part, the German newspaper “Kicker” said that the Bavarian club’s management will allow its Polish star to leave next summer, if two conditions are met.

And the German newspaper “Bild” had confirmed that Bayern Munich’s position remains the same as the club does not plan to sell it, and that it does not expect Bayern’s position to change at all regarding Lewandowski, as the club will not enter into any negotiations to sell him this summer.

The newspaper pointed out that the Bayern Munich administration is preparing for a new meeting with the Polish international agent, Pini Zahavi, in order to find a solution to renew his contract.
