Liverpool plans to include the Real Madrid striker and Leicester City winger in January

English press reports revealed that Liverpool is considering including two new offensive options to the team during the next transfer window in January.

Coach Jurgen Klopp has set his sights on Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes and Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic as his main targets, both of which fit in with his style of play.

According to the English newspaper “Daily Star”:

The German is keen to look to the future and find players who can slowly replace the current attacking player in the next few years.

Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino were among the best strikers in the history of the Premier League, but their ages are 29, 29 and 30 respectively, despite the stability of the level and no player in them has declined so far.

Among the players discovered by Reds sporting director Michael Edwards, Barnes has been named one of Klopp’s favourite, with the Leicester City winger enjoying several impressive seasons, demonstrating an ability to press as well as a natural talent for handling the ball.

The second player is Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic, as it is believed that the 23-year-old can offer different solutions to the team in the most difficult matches.

The Serbian has struggled since heading to the Spanish capital from Eintracht Frankfurt and is said to be keen to leave in order to find more opportunities at another club.
