Officially.. Liverpool extends Alexander-Arnold’s contract until 2025 :

Liverpool announced, today, Friday, the extension of the contract of his right-back, Trent Alexander-Arnold, with a long-term contract, after he signed a new contract with the club.

English press reports confirmed that Arnold’s new contract with Liverpool will extend until 2025.

And Arnold spoke to the official website of the English club, after signing his new contract, saying, “I am honored to have the opportunity and to show confidence in the club to obtain an extension, so it was illogical for me.”

“The state in which the club is, where I am in my career, is always a good option for me,” Arnold added.

“It’s the only club I’ve really known, so being here for that long and extending to stay here longer is great for me and my family.”

The Reds star concluded his remarks by saying, “It is a proud moment for me to sign a new contract here, to have the confidence, as I have said by the club and the staff, is a wonderful feeling.”

The 22-year-old Arnold, since his appearance with the first team in Liverpool, in October 2016, played 179 games in all competitions, scored 10 goals, and succeeded in crowning the English Premier League and Champions League titles.

Arsenal announced today, Friday, the official contract of defender Ben White, from Brighton, during the current summer transfer season, for the next five seasons, in preparation for the new season 2021-2022.

Reports had indicated that Arsenal had reached a final agreement to sign Brighton defender Ben White, the 23-year-old, with a transfer value of 50 million pounds.

And details of the transfer of Ben White to Arsenal, 30 million pounds paid during the first 12 months, and 20 million pounds in two phases, in addition to 5 million pounds in additions and incentives, and there is no percentage of sale in the future for Brighton.

Ben White had joined the preliminary list of the England national team for the European Championship “Euro 2020”, and played two friendlies, before being excluded from the final list, and the player will wear the No. 4 shirt with the London club.

Arsenal had previously made two offers to Brighton to sign Ben White for 40 and 42 million pounds, before they were rejected by the Brighton administration.

“Ben White is a smart defender who is very comfortable with the ball at his feet and his style suits us perfectly, and of course he’s still young so his age and profile fit in with what we’re building here,” said Gunners coach Mikel Arteta after completing the contract.

The Ben White deal will be Arsenal’s second deal during the summer transfer season, after the Gunners settled their first summer deal by signing Benfica’s left-back, Nuno Tavares.
