Liverpool’s Position on Selling Mohamed Salah

Press reports revealed Liverpool’s position on selling Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian international during the summer transfer window.

Salah’s contract with Liverpool will expire in the summer of 2023.

Some newspapers confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain is seeking to contract with Salah in the event of the departure of Kylian Mbappe.

Salah finished second in the Premier League’s top scorer list last season, one goal behind Harry Kane, the Tottenham star.

The Egyptian pharaoh was won the best player in the English Premier League award, by the public vote.

Whereas, the Reds finished fourth during the last season to ensure their participation in the Champions League.

Liverpool Echo confirmed that the Liverpool administration is keen to renew Mohamed Salah’s contract, despite the fact that negotiations with the player have not yet begun.

The site indicated that the initial negotiations on the renewal will be later this year.

But, Mohamed Salah also does not want to move to another club at the moment.

In fact, Mohamed Salah, in more than one previous press interview, confirmed his openness to a new experience outside England.

The Egyptian player admitted earlier that the club had not contacted him yet.

He said, “No one has contacted me about this. So, I don’t have much to say. I don’t know.”
