Matches and semi-final dates for the European qualifying round for the 2022 World Cup

The draw for the European qualifying round for the 2022 World Cup, which was held in the Swiss city of Zurich, was held Friday evening, in order to determine 3 teams that qualify for the World Cup in Qatar.

The 10 second-placed teams in the 10 groups qualified for the European play-off:

Portugal
Sweden
Italy
Scotland
Russia
Poland
North Macedonia
Ukraine
Wales
and Turkey
Next to the Czech and Austrian teams, who topped their groups in the European Nations League and did not manage to reserve seats in the playoffs.

The semi-final matches of the European qualifying round for the World Cup will be as follows:

The winner from Scotland and Ukraine meets the winner from Wales and Austria

The winner from Russia and Poland will face the winner from Sweden and the Czech Republic

The winner from Italy and North Macedonia meets the winner from Portugal and Turkey

The results of the European supplement lottery were as follows:

Group A includes teams: Scotland – Ukraine – Wales – Austria.

The second group includes teams: Russia – Poland – Sweden – the Czech Republic.

Group C includes teams: Italy – North Macedonia – Portugal – Turkey.

The semi-final matches will be held on March 24 and 25, and the final on March 28 and 29.

The teams compete in a semi-final and final system of one match, where two matches are held in each group, so that the winner qualifies for the final match, and the winner ascends to the World Cup and so on in the rest of the groups.

10 European teams qualified directly for the 2022 World Cup, after the end of the group stage, namely, France, Germany, England, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Netherlands, Serbia and Switzerland.
