And the British newspaper, “Telegraph”, reported, yesterday, Thursday, that 9 players and crew of the Manchester United team were infected with the Corona virus, which led to the club’s decision to cancel the friendly match against Preston North End.

“After conducting further tests yesterday (Thursday) and today (Friday), we can confirm that there are no positive cases within the first-team squad,” a United statement said on their official website.

“After consulting with the Premier League, they are satisfied that we have followed all virus protocols correctly and the team can return to training immediately,” the statement added.

The statement concluded on the decision to cancel the Preston North End match, “Both clubs regret any disappointment to the fans about the cancellation of Saturday’s friendly match, and the two clubs will now seek to find an acceptable date for both parties to play each other in the future.”
