A double battle between Manchester United and Galatasaray for Mauro Icardi
British press reports suggested the existence of a bilateral conflict between the English clubs Manchester United and the Turkish Galatasaray to obtain the services of Argentine international player Mauro Icardi during the current summer transfers.
Mauro Icardi came out of the accounts of the French coach, Christophe Galtier, the coach of the Paris Saint-Germain team, who announced a few days ago that he had asked the player to look for another place because he would not rely on him during the coming period.
According to the British newspaper, “The Sun”, Mauro Icardi finds a strong desire by the Turkish club Galatasaray to sign him during the current summer transfers, which is suggested by his agent and his wife, Wanda Nara.
The newspaper pointed out that Mauro Icardi was set up by the Manchester United administration as an alternative deal to compensate for the possible departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, other than that the club needs a veteran striker in the event of Rashford’s departure to Paris Saint-Germain.
The newspaper said Galatasaray are believed to be looking to seal an initial loan deal, and they are willing to cover £2.5m of Icardi’s £10m annual wage.
Incredibly, PSG are so eager for a move to happen that they are happy to cover another £7.5m.
Icardi and Wanda are scheduled to hold talks with all parties with the aim of reaching an agreement as soon as possible.
The report stressed that Icardi’s wife, Wanda, believes that the player should start a new stage with a different club than Paris Saint-Germain, after the coach’s recent statements.
