Rangnick: Manchester United performed well and our upcoming matches are tough
Manchester United coach Ralf Rangnick spoke about the team’s 3-1 victory over Burnley on Thursday evening at Old Trafford in the 20th round of the English Premier League for the 2021-2022 season.
“All the players were performing excellently and it was important to carry out the physical requirements in general, the performance was good,” Rangnick said after the match.
About the match, Rangnick added: “We expected a difficult match against a direct and physical team, but the important thing is that we applied what we wanted and there are still many things to improve.”
And about Scott McTominay, Rangnick said: “I was happy because he played after his injury against Newcastle.”
“It’s all about our performance and Sancho, Greenwood and even Cavani helped us,” Ralf Rangnick said of the top players.
“It is difficult to control the ball against Burnley so it is good to play some long balls,” Rangnick said.
Regarding the upcoming matches, Rangnick confirmed: “We will play difficult matches and our focus on the Wolverhampton match is a difficult team.”
“I wouldn’t say fourth place is the minimum but the other three teams are very advanced and it’s about the next improvement steps but now we have 8 games unbeaten,” Rangnick explained.
