Mertens enters the interests of Inter and Lazio after leaving Napoli

Italian press reports revealed that former Napoli player, Dries Mertens, has entered the interests of Inter Milan and Lazio during the current summer transfers.

Dries Mertens refused to continue with Napoli, despite receiving an offer from his club; Because of the reduction in the value of the salary from 4.5 million euros to 2.5 only, which the player considered does not reflect the distinguished levels with the team during the past years.

According to the “Football Italia” website, the 35-year-old hinted that he wanted to play for only one more season before stopping next summer, but he refused the 2.4 million euros per season salary offered to him by Napoli.

Lazio and Inter Milan are seeking the services of the player who is preparing for the new season with a desire to end his career stronger than he was.

In a related context, Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti has ruled out excluding Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen during the team’s pre-season training.

The Nigerian striker commented inappropriately with his colleague Anguissa, as the latter roughed up with another colleague during the team’s training.

Napoli’s training was held in front of the fans, where the coach divided the players into two teams, but the crisis in the training led to the removal of Osimin from the training.

And Spalletti told his player, according to the “Football Italia” website, during the crisis: “You talk a lot, go and take a shower.”

Spalletti’s decision did not help calm the situation, as Osimhen continued the protests as he walked off the pitch.
