La Liga President: Messi will return to Barcelona and be able to play for another 3 years
Javier Tebas, president of the Spanish League, “La Liga”, has confirmed his desire to return Argentine star Lionel Messi, the current Paris Saint-Germain player, again to La Liga competitions, stressing that he has the ability to play well for the next 3 years.
In statements to the global network “ESPN”, Tebas spoke about the player he would like to see in the Spanish League other than Mbappe and Halland, saying: “Messi has two or three years at a good level. Messi 80% of what we saw is still at the top, I think he will return to Barcelona.
He added, “I think that Messi will return to Barcelona, if he returns to Spain on completely different economic terms, and therefore this will not be a financial burden on Barcelona.”
He continued, “The relationship between Messi and Barcelona was perfect and I believe that the reconciliation will generate big financial concessions for both parties. I think it would be a good thing on the economic level, but I have no idea on the sporting level.”
Messi left Barcelona last summer for Paris Saint-Germain in a free transfer deal, after the end of his contract with the Catalan club, due to their failure to reach an agreement on the renewal of the contract, due to the financial crisis that the club is going through.
The Argentine star is going through a difficult period with Paris Saint-Germain, after the latter’s exit from the European Champions League, and he was booed by the fans of the Paris club during the last confrontation with Bordeaux in the French League.
