Mohamed Salah: Liverpool did not start the season in a perfect way

The Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool striker, confirmed that his team did not start the new season of the English Premier League in the perfect way, stressing that talking about reducing the points difference with Manchester City is still early in the Premier League race.

Mohamed Salah spoke to the English “Sky Sports” network, saying: “We did not start the season the way we wanted, we lost 4 points in the first two matches, we did not want that, surely everyone wants to win and show everything he has.”

He added: “All we have to do is focus on what is coming, we cannot change what happened in the past, and in this way we focus on our next match, we do not want to waste points, especially in light of the competition with Manchester City and Chelsea, these clubs do not waste points easily. So we have to focus on every next match.”

On reducing the points difference with Manchester City, Salah said: “I think it is too early to think about that, we do not have to occupy our minds with this matter at the present time.”

On Monday’s clash with Manchester United, the Reds star said: “It’s always a special game for the city, the fans and everyone else. They are probably the two biggest teams in England. Historically, it’s a special game for everyone.”

Liverpool had failed to achieve any victory in the new season of the English Premier League, after drawing with both Fulham and Crystal Palace, 2-2 and 1-1, respectively.
