Officially.. Mohamed Salah is among the nominees for the “The Best” award for the best players in the world

The International Football Association “FIFA” revealed the nominees for the “The Best” award, which is given to the best player in the world, and the Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, was among the list of nominees to win the award.

The candidates were as follows:

Kevin Dean Bruen (Belgium)
Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal)
Erling Haaland (Norway)
Jorginho (Italy)
N’Golo Kante (France)
Robert Lewandowski (Poland)
Kylian Mbappe (France)
Lionel Messi (Argentina)
Neymar da Silva (Brazil).

The Best award was launched in 2016, presented by FIFA for the best player in the world, after its separation from the French magazine “France Football”, which awards the Golden Ball award.

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo was crowned the best player in the world from FIFA in the first two editions in its current form in 2016 and 2017.

Croatian Luka Modric won the award in 2018, before Argentine star Lionel Messi won the award in 2019.

Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski was crowned the best player in the world for 2020, beating Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The International Football Association Board (FIFA) announced today, Tuesday, that the “The Best” awards ceremony will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022 in Zurich (Switzerland).

While voting will start from today, Monday, November 22, and will end Friday, December 10, 2021.
