Officially.. Minamino joins French Monaco for 4 seasons

French club Monaco announced the signing of Japanese Takumi Minamino from Liverpool in the current summer Mercato for 4 seasons.

In its official statement, the Monaco club stated that the French club included the 27-year-old Minamino on a 4-year contract to run until June 2026.

Monaco coach Philippe Clement had previously announced the signing of his club with Liverpool player Takumi Minamino, with an initial offer of 12.9 million pounds, in addition to 2.6 million pounds in bonuses.

Minamino joined Liverpool for £7.25 million in January 2020 from Red Bull Salzburg, and made just 53 appearances in all competitions, including just 11 in the Premier League in 2021-22, scoring three goals.

The Reds signed the 27-year-old Japanese player in January 2020, from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg, in a deal worth 8.5 million euros. He also played 6 months on loan with Southampton during the 2020-2021 season.
