Morocco record historic win over Belgium to top World Cup Group F

Morocco achieves a historic victory over Belgium and tops Group F in the World Cup, The Moroccan national team achieved an exciting victory over Belgium with two clean goals in the match that brought them together at “Al-Thumama” stadium, in the second round of Group Six of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

 

The beginning of the match witnessed an offensive exchange by Morocco and Belgium in order to reach the net early and snatch the lead.

 

In the 5th minute, Yassine Bounou saved Morocco’s goalkeeper from a sure goal in favor of Belgium, after saving a dangerous ball from Batshuayi.

 

Belgium defender Thomas Meunier hit a powerful ball at Morocco’s goal, but Mounir El Mohamady saved it easily, in the 18th minute.

 

While the Moroccan national team plays in the middle of its stadium, and the brilliant winger Hakim Ziyech takes advantage of the rebounds from the right side.

 

Ashraf Hakimi, Morocco’s defender, fired a missile from inside the Belgium penalty area in the 35th minute, but it turned into a corner.

 

And in the 39th minute, Kevin De Bruyne, the star of Belgium’s midfield, shot a strong shot, but over the goal of Belgium’s goalkeeper Mounir Al-Mohammadi.

 

Morocco started the second half offensively against Belgium, and Hakim Ziyech fired a missile in the 50th minute, which was brilliantly saved by Thibaut Courtois.

 

Sofiane Boufal, the winger of the Moroccan national team, fired a powerful missile that passed next to Thibaut Courtois and the Belgium goalkeeper.

 

In the 65th minute, Mounir El-Mohammadi saved Morocco from a goal achieved in favor of Belgium, after blocking a missile from Dries Mertens.

 

Abdelhamid Sabry grabbed the lead goal for Morocco against Belgium from a free kick inside Courtois’ net in the 73rd minute.

 

In the 90th minute of lost time, Zakaria Boukhal scored Morocco’s second goal against Belgium.

 

Belgium tried to return to the match against Morocco, but to no avail until the final whistle, with the Atlantic Lions winning 1-0.

 

With this result, Morocco’s national team reaches point 4 at the top of the Group Six standings table at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, while Belgium’s balance is frozen at point 3 in the runner-up, then Croatia third with a point and finally Canada’s national team without points.

 

It is scheduled that the Croatian national team will face its sixth counterpart, Canada, this evening, at Khalifa International Stadium, in the same round of Group F.
