Nagelsmann: I received 450 death threats after Bayern Munich bid farewell to the Champions League
Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann confirmed that he received a large number of death threats, after the Bavarian farewell to the Champions Leaguec ompetitions from the quarter-finals against Villarreal of Spain.
“I can deal with the criticism, but it’s different now with 450 death threats on Instagram,” Nagelsmann said at the press conference to confront Armenia Bielefeld.
Nagelsmann spoke about his opponent, Armenia Bielefeld, “They are the team in the Bundesliga that covers the most areas in the opponent’s half, and the most interference and tackles even if they do not win them, but we are going there to win,” adding, “Now we have a clear goal, to win the next two matches to ensure the title.”
Regarding the condition of Bayern Munich players, Nagelsmann explained, “Hernandez and Koeman have minor muscle problems. I do not expect them to travel with us to Bielefeld. Soule and Tolisso will not be available, while Sarr will return to the list.”
Bayern Munich tied Villarreal 1-1, during the match that brought the two teams together on Tuesday evening at the “Allianz Arena”, in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the current season 2021-2022.
The two teams entered the meeting after the first leg match that was held last week at the “La Ceramica” stadium ended with the victory of the yellow submarines with a goal without a response, in a heavy caliber surprise. The two teams tied and the Spanish team qualified 2-1 on aggregate.
