Nagelsmann comments on the Champions League draw after falling against Saint-Germain
Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed the difficulty of facing Paris Saint-Germain in the next round of the Champions League.
The draw for the round of sixteen for the current edition of the 2022-2023 Champions League, which was held in Nyon, Switzerland, resulted in fiery confrontations, most notably Paris Saint-Germain against Bayern Munich.
“Paris Saint-Germain is a tough opponent,” Nagelsmann said of the Champions League draw. “We have some time before the game, with the World Cup in between, but we are looking forward to that match.”
And about facing Werder Bremen in the German League tomorrow, Nagelsmann said, “Bremen has a good coach and a clear game plan, whether in attack or defense, they have two very dangerous strikers, they are very strong and will pose a difficult challenge for us tomorrow.”
Nagelsmann added, “If we get 6 more points before the World Cup, we will remain at the top of the table. We believe in ourselves.”
On the team’s condition, Nagelsmann explained, “Mattias de Ligt, Stanicic and Thomas Muller will not be present. Upamecano is under some stress, Neuer is doing well and will be on the field. Davies will also be absent, fortunately it is just a slight injury.”
